There are a large number of universities all with their own websites and promotional material. All universities will be slightly different in terms of their atmospheres, facilities and the courses on offer.
There is no substitute to visiting on an open day (or attending a virtual one), however you do need to do some research first and may find the following a useful starting point.

Students are allowed 5 days over the two years in Sixth Form to visit universities and colleges. Please remember to request permission 7 days in advance, by emailing the Head of Year 12 or 13.

The website Discover Uni is the official website for comparing higher education course data. The site includes information on university and college courses, Teaching Excellence and Student Outcomes Framework (TEF) ratings, student satisfaction scores form the National Student Survey, employment outcomes and salaries after study as well as other key information for prospective students

The University of Birmingham has a scheme called Routes to the Professions which provides support for students considering courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Accounting & Finance and Engineering.

If inspiration for apprenticeships, gap years, distance learning and jobs is required then this could be of use.
