*We are keen to support those through A level Music who have a genuine passion for the subject. However, to thrive on the course, it is recommended that you are able to play a recital of at least Grade 6 standard pieces by Year 13. This is a minimum standard, and, for those aiming for the highest grades, a high level of proficiency, confidence and musicality is needed on one instrument. Additionally, in order to cope with the academic demands of the course, it is also recommended that you are proficient in reading Western classical notation.
